Time Flies!!

Hello everyone!  Have you been busy too??  I've been stitching a little and doing some Christmas shopping and making a Holiday Planner and going off sugar (I feel so much better - but can you imagine  Thanksgiving and Christmas without sugar?  EEK!  What will I get in my stocking?  Socks??)  Here are some pictures of what I've been up to...

LHN's Counting House.  I'll try to finish this by Christmas.

Prairie Schooler Autumn Leaves Foursome...  Hopefully this will be finished this weekend, if I can get some concentrated stitching time!

An AMAZING Blog gifty that I received from Andrea.  Have you ever SEEN anything so beautifully finished?  Look at those beads!!!!!  swoon..... : )

Here's a Margaret Sherry freebie that I stitched into an ornament for a friend that loves cats...

And another gift from a blog and real-life friend, Angie... Aren't they adorable?  A little notebook cover and pouch!

And finally a gift for my MIL.  I was all set to try a pinkeep... but I chickened out and framed it instead.  I'll get up enough courage one of these days!!

That's it for me right now!  I'm sending off an exchange today.  Can't wait to receive mine back again!  With paying for dd to stay in college, we're cutting back on Christmas presents for each other this year.  I think we'll just do stockings - so getting these few stitchy things here and there from my blog friends and exchanges is going to be my Christmas!! : )

Have a wonderful day!

What fun stitches coming to and from your house! I think you'll end up enjoying this holiday season just as much if not more than others; keeping things simple lets you pay more attention to the little, simple but meaningful things that sometimes get lost in the hustle.

Do you mean you are going off of added sugar, such as in desserts and soft drinks/juices? Its great to limit sugar but remember its in fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates and milk/milk products so probably not feasible. I gave up on added sugars and have felt great since. The only source of energy the brain can use is sugar, and sugar is natural. Moderation is the key. Ok, enough on that. Lovely WIPs and nice presents too, especially the merry christmas ornament.

Great stitching Tricia! I have not tried a pinkeep yet either...maybe we can support each other on that effort next year!

Oh Tricia!! You are my hero for going off sugar! I've tried but I'm to much of an addict, so I'll just be your cheerleader! LOVE your stitching, and would be hard put to pick a favorite but the Little House Snowman and the Margaret Sherry cat are two I've been looking at to stitch. I'm sure someone as generous as you have been, sharing your stash this year, will definitely get more than socks in your stocking!! *Hugs*

Beautiful stitching and finishes. I'm not sure if I could cut out sugar cold turkey this time of year, so many good things I look forward to.

Sorry to be so late Tricia. You've made lots of progress and grats on the finishes. I especially love the foursome for Autumn. It's lovely. Keep up the good work and you'll have more finishes soon!!

I just started that very snowman tonight! How about that?! I'm thinking it will be an ornament for my Secret Stitcher. We'll see if I can get it done in time. Winks!
